    I don't know what I ordered, but I think I ordered a cheeseburger and it was so delicious and the french fry wedges delicious I recommend this spot

    From time to time I get a craving for burgers, maybe twice a month. We were in Gaslamp for our dinner reservation when suddenly I had this craving for a Burger, this time I wanted to try the one that I always see at Ocean Beach called HODAD'S , but we were already in Gaslamp and we weren't gonna make it in time to drive back to Ocean Beach 'coz it's almost their closing time, plus I heard that there were 2 branches nearby: One inside the Stadium and one in Broadway San diego . I chose the one in Broadway San Diego 'coz it looks like a bigger space among their branches. When we arrived I didn't really like the Vibe of the surrounding area, there weren't many open businesses around, mostly old buildings around. This is the kind of area that I will only visit during daytime, but never at Night time 'coz there's a few homeless people scattered around or laying down on peoples way walking. But the Inside of the Hodad's completely made me forget how it looked outside. The inside is Big and feels welcoming. We were greeted right away and were told us we can sit anywhere. We got the menu quick and ordered: *GUIDO BURGER *BLUE JAY *DOUBLE BACON CHEESE BURGER *HALF ONION RING The Half Onion Ring we ordered was already a good portion for the 3 of us. When the DOUBLE BACON CHEESE BURGER came it was the biggest, as in the Biggest among the burgers we ordered, I even had a hard time eating it 'coz it's big! My double bacon cheeseburger Burger was good, tender, and juicy! I would order the same Burger on my next visit. My Son's and husband's Burgers were good too, but theirs were just normal sizes, but they still enjoyed them! I will still choose this location despite of parking situation or the not so pleasing surrounding area 'coz this Hodads here is so much bigger compared to their other location. Parking is kinda hard to find. Food and service is great.

    Happen to be in downtown for comicon and after 8 years find myself coming back here. Such a great place very chill free and relaxed environment. All the servers were just nice and easy going and in such a great mood. The burgers were nicely sized even though they do add a lot of onions but well worth the money. The chicken sandwich was also really good and reputable to most places around. They also have a good beer selection I tried one of there Mexican lagers brewed locally and it was amazing. My son just loved the place.

    great spot located in the downtown Gaslamp area. stopped by this spot after realizing the Petco Park was...in the stadium...of course. it can be a bit of a walk up north from the convention center, but worth the little trek to it. they specialize in burgers and also have various vegan/veg options as well along with shakes and sides. the decor is basically old license plates and stickers everywhere, which give it a skater vibe that give it a no frills vibe that focuses on quality burgers. i opted for a double cheeseburger and basket of fries, while my friend got a Blue Jay burger. i was quite shocked at how huge the double cheeseburger was! definitely get it only if you are veryyyy hungry. also, fair warning that it is gonna be a MESS to eat. nevertheless, it was cooked well and tasty. the steak fries were decent, although i prefer regular thin fries with my burger. i'd also consider ordering fries on the side if you like fries as the 'Basket w/ fries' option only gives you a small side with your burger. they have hot sauce and ketchup bottles on the table, but you can also ask for other sauces like bbq or ranch if that's your thing. worth a try if you've already had pizza and tacos during your trip!
